Why hire a DJ, Why not do it myself?
DJ's bring more than just music to a party - they bring atmosphere.  Getting anything less is just not professional.  Not only should you have music, professional mixers, and professional speakers; but you should have professional lighting and a professional DJ running the show.  Music is one of the more important factors contributing to the success of your party or event.  In order to handle requests and be able to serve the true taste of the crowd, a wide variety of music is needed.  Even though only about 90 songs are actually played during a six hour event, thousands are needed.  Prime Tyme Entertainment is equipped with a CD database of over 12,000 songs to match you and your guests with music.

Why should I hire you and not someone else?
Passion. That's the difference.  We have the passion.  Passion is the driving force in any chosen arena of endeavor in which one strives for excellence.  Our's is a partnership.  Other than you, no one cares more about the success of your affair than us.
 
What kind of music do you play?
Big Band, Oldies, Standard, Country, New wave, Rock, Pop, Dance, Hip-hop... you name it we have it.  If we don't and you want it...We'll get it!

Will I meet with my DJ before my scheduled event?
Yes! You will get a chance to sit down with YOUR DJ and go over details of your event.

When you give me a price quote, are there any hidden charges? 
NO! Your first quote is the last.  Some DJ companies add on travel time, mileage, set up and tear down time.  The price we give is the price you get. No surprises or hidden charges. 

Why is your price lower than most DJs? 
Everyone at Prime Tyme Entertainment is in the Mobile DJ business for fun and the love of the job.  We all have other careers and just enjoy the fun that music and entertaining brings to everyone involved.  Many DJ companies charge $900 or more for a 4 hour event. Why? Because they can.  We provide the same lights, the same equipment, the same music, and a better DJ.... We don't feel that gouging you for your event is fair.  We want to provide a great event at a great price. 

What happens if my event runs longer? 
You may choose to have us stay.  The rate per hour will be stipulated in the contract so you know exactly what to expect. No surprises.  

Can you provide advice as to how I should structure my wedding reception?
You bet we can! We have lots of experience in weddings and parties. If there is anything we have learned it is that someone has to keep the ball rolling.  We will provide you with a complete wedding "script" that includes the structure, wording, names, etc...everything that will be needed.   Brides and Grooms and other hosts should concentrate on celebrating.  We can help structure your reception and keep the good times rolling. 

Do you take emergency bookings? 
Yes, and at no extra fee. 

I have special circumstances regarding my event, is that a problem? 
No.  Just let us know in advance if possible and we will help out any way we can. 

Do the DJ's take requests? 
Yes.  We take both advanced requests, and on the spot too.  At most events, with your permission,  we place request cards on the tables so your guests can write their request and submit them to the DJ.  

Bottom line...what's it going to cost me? 
Well that depends on how long you will need us.  Several things can help reduce the cost such as; time of year, type of event, advanced booking, special promos...etc. These will all make the price lower...but never higher.  With all the deals we swing...we haven't charged more than $100 an hour on all the events we've done over the last 6 months.
